A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

BattletechCCG is a fan-made digital version of the classic BattleTech collectible card game. Build an army of 'Mechs, Vehicles and support cards, attack your opponent's Stockpile, and outlast them.

Features

  • Single player vs AI: play against House Liao and Clan Wolf decks.
  • Deck builder: make your own 60-card legal decks.
  • Online play: quick queue, public rooms, and private rooms with join codes. If a game gets out of sync it resyncs on its own, and you can concede at any time.
  • How to Play screen: learn the turn phases and rules in the game.
  • Settings: CLICK TO PLACE to put cards down by clicking, and AUTO PASS to skip phases you have nothing to do in. AUTO PASS still stops at your End phase if you have Logistics in play.
  • Recent additions: static counters on attacking 'Mechs, and a die roll with a visual effect for Vehicle damage checks.

Card sets

Cards are added in release order, starting with Unlimited. Done so far: Unlimited, Counterstrike, Mercenaries, MechWarrior, Arsenal and Commander's Edition. Crusade is in progress. Cards that were reprinted or revised in a later set appear only in their latest version. More sets coming soon after Crusade.

Status

The game is in active development, with frequent updates. See the devlog for patch notes, and post bugs or ideas in the comments.

Installing

  • Windows: unzip and run BattletechCCG.exe.

Question... do you mind if I link your tool to Jeff's BattleTech Tools (at least on my Beta page? I can't say the community as a whole would accept the link in the main, but I was planning on doing what you are doing, and there is no need to reinvent the wheel.)

Sure, go ahead and link it. Thanks for asking!

Great. Nerd question. You still have previous versions of game to publish? I missed them. :(

Thanks, glad you're enjoying it! Good nerd question. Sadly I don't have the older builds anymore, so this version is the one to play. Let me know if there's anything from the earlier versions you'd like to see brought back!

Ok. Generally situations when one thing/feature/mechanic/ui design/visual effect replace other, earlier, changes from updates 1,2,3,4 optional in settings haha, as detailed advanced skirmish settings/modifers like in rts game vibe, replayability buff. Launching game with version choice like in Minecraft launchers haha. Cards banned settings for Ai in skirmish idea. You want use unofficial fan cards too? Unlisted changes from patch notes mysterious :).

Love the skirmish-modifier and ban-list ideas, I'm noting those. Once I finish adding all the official cards, I'm thinking about adding the fan-made BattleTech Tactics 2 set too. I'll also try to make the patch notes clearer about what actually changed.

Ok. Nice. Thanks if you can expand these mysterious notes: Lots of other UI polishing :) plus other things I forgot to write down while I was working on it! If you have screen from menu from game version before add online play option/potential earlier backgrounds arts etc as graphic screen saver or similar thing as restoring earlier reasources idea. Earlier, less readable/worse ui versions as challanges haha.

Happy to. Next update I'll spell out the UI polish items instead of lumping them together. The old-art screensaver is a fun idea. I'll keep it on the maybe list after the core card and online work.
